Meagan Fisk-Jordan

Practicum Student

Meagan is a practicum student psychologist under the supervision of Pamela Hillaby. Meagan is obtaining her Master of Counselling from City University of Seattle (based out of Edmonton) and holds her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies.

Meagan has a genuine, honest and empathetic nature and believes in the inherent worth of every person. Meagan comes from a client centered and strengths-based approach. Together, these beliefs help to create a warm and welcoming environment that encourages others to feel comfortable in her presence.

Meagan is especially interested in how the body holds trauma and experiences emotion and is therefore drawn towards the somatic process and is registered to complete Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) training in the fall.

Meagan is interested in a variety of modalities including an integrative approach utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
