Lauren Appleby, M.A.

Registered Psychologist, Clinical Manager

Lauren (she/her) is an experienced Assessment Specialist. She has refined her skills in conducting parenting assessments, learning and functioning assessments, vocational assessments, capacity assessments, and fitness-for-duty assessments. She has also done personal injury assessments as well as Practice Note 7 and 8 assessments for court. Furthermore, Lauren has completed home study assessments to determine applicants’ suitability and potential to be foster/adoptive parents.

Serving as a supervisor for Kells practicum students and Registered Provisional Psychologists has further developed Lauren’s mentoring, teaching, and leadership skills. She has completed the Certificate in Advanced Clinical Supervision in Psychology. In addition, Lauren is an approved Practicum Supervisor in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program in the Faculty of Behaviour Sciences at Yorkville University.

As a therapist, Lauren believes all clients have the potential for change and growth. Through her practice at Kells, she has demonstrated an active commitment to providing clients with the information and support they need to progress through life’s transitions and to regulate their moods.
