Andrea obtained her Master of Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Alberta in 2018, and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences. Andrea has focused on individual counselling as well as workshops directed to children, adolescents, teachers, and parents on topics such as parenting and social skills. Andrea also has experience in human resources, which has helped her to understand more about communication, problem resolutions, and teamwork.

Andrea sees every client as an expert in themselves with the potential to keep growing and achieve their personal goals in any stage of their life. Therefore, she is passionate about helping clients find that strength and potential, and work towards a healthier mental state. Her focus is to find the best approach and tools based on each client’s needs in a safe and non-judgmental space, bringing empathy, compassion, and genuineness. As an immigrant herself, Andrea also recognizes and values the importance of what makes us who we are and the importance of where we come from. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Andrea uses tools from different modalities such as: person-centered, compassion and mindfulness, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioural therapy.

Currently, Andrea is working with individuals 18 and over and can provide counselling services in the following areas:
