An update about COVID-19

Our commitment to our clients, colleagues, and communities

For all of our programs and agencies with the Family Solutions Group, Kells Counselling included, the well-being and safety of our clients, colleagues, and communities are our top priority. Just like you, we are monitoring new developments regarding COVID-19 closely.

Your safety and mental health continue to be our priority

Taking care of your emotional health during these unprecedented times will help you think clearly and make the best decisions to care for yourself and your family. Self-care will also help your long-term wellness. People with pre-existing mental health conditions should continue with their treatment plans during an emergency and monitor for any new symptoms.

Visiting our offices

We are pleased to support you and your family to stay well. We have taken several extra steps to ensure office cleanliness and taken many precautions to ensure all our safety.  If you are healthy and well, then by all means please come to your appointment.

If you are not feeling well in any way, if you have traveled outside of Canada within the past 14 days, or if you have interacted with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, then we would like you to have your session by phone or video conference instead.

We have asked our staff who meet the above criteria to not come into the office. At this time, psychologists will remain available in person as well as available online or by phone. Some of our staff will work from home and to follow the directions of local public health authorities.

Dedication to client service

We anticipate further announcements and guidance from government authorities on their response to COVID-19, and we will share this information and our insights with you as soon as possible. Please reach out to Kells at any point with your questions or concerns. Should office closures become necessary, we have plans in place so that your Kells therapist will remain accessible and responsive to your business needs.

A safe environment

As a part of our regular focus, we follow best practices to ensure that our offices are a clean and safe environment for all, and we have been proactive in implementing additional measures focused on the safety of our people, clients, and guests, continuing to adapt as circumstances change. Our approach has been informed by the guidance of governmental agencies and public health officials.

We hope that you, your families, and colleagues remain safe and healthy as this global health challenge unfolds. If you have any questions about the above, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our team will work to get back to you as quickly as possible.

We’ll be in touch should there be any additional updates.

Kind regards,

Janet Ryan-Newell
