If you haven’t already heard, we’ve been super busy with our new startup called the Solutions Intervention Program.
Crossroads Family Services and Kells Counselling collaborated to develop a family-centered treatment intervention program. This Family Solutions program merges the strengths of Crossroads caregivers with the clinical expertise of Kells professionals, to support atypical children and their families.
Our Solutions team is working collaboratively with kids and their families to develop new skill areas and strengthen family dynamics. It is a complicated and dynamic program, but we have been excited to meet the families that have been referred by FSCD and to start work with their kids.
The children and families participating in the program are referred through FSCD and placed into either the Intensive or the Outreach program streams depending on their needs. Dependent on the intervention stream chosen, the families and children then access assessment, skills training, community activities, & break night support groups. There is also an opportunity for individual and family therapeutic treatment.
