Emily Killen, M.C.

Registered Provisional Psychologist and Associate Director

Emily (she/her) began her work with Family Solutions Group as a youth mentor and group facilitator. She has over 10 years’ experience working with children and families. Emily graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from MacEwan University in 2016. She then attended the University of Calgary and obtained a Master of Counselling with a specialization in Counselling Psychology.

Emily’s professional and educational accomplishments have built on one another to create the role she is in now. Emily’s dual position as Associate Director and Registered Provisional Psychologist has her drawing upon her years of experience as coach, mentor, and group facilitator to work with clients while applying her training in business and communications to advance the company. She loves this balance of directly helping alongside global planning and management.

Emily is a warm, caring person with a passion for helping people heal and grow. She believes that all people have the ability to heal and that they are the experts on what that might look like. She also believes that psychology exists to help guide clients toward their definition of wellness. As such, Emily tries to approach every conversation with kindness, empathy, and respect. She views those who seek counselling as people who prioritize wellness, move past their challenges, and act with bravery!
